Novel Methodologies Unit

The Novel Methodologies Unit will provide necessary resources to those research projects in the OSCTR that would benefit from the development of new approaches in biostatistics, epidemiology, and informatics, as well as to provide leadership to aid faculty currently engaged in original research on improving research design and analysis methodologies.

Services Provided

• Identify promising areas for the development of novel methodologies or the use of known methods in a new area of research
• Provide opportunities for the development and application of these new methods
• Organize short courses in novel epidemiological or biostatistical approaches to complex problems
• Organize multidisciplinary discussion panels to stimulate the development of novel approaches to address biomedical questions
